Everyday Evangelism

Everyday Evangelism by Gram Seed

A four-session course through Matthew 10, where Jesus takes twelve ordinary men and sends them out. It's for Christians who think they aren't ready, don't know enough, or aren't confident. Neither were the twelve.

Four sessions with Gram. A new course starts every month.

“You don't need a stage. You need availability.”

If you want to learn evangelism, Gram says, you don't start with a seminar, a formula or hype. You start with Jesus.

Everyday Evangelism is plain-speaking and practical. Gram brings stories from prisons, streets and petrol station forecourts, and every session ends with questions or practice, so people leave able to talk about Jesus naturally at work, at the school gate and at home.

The sessions

Four sessions through Matthew 10

  1. 1

    Matthew 9:36 · 10:1–4

    Called before sent

    • Why Matthew 10 matters: Jesus sends ordinary people
    • It starts with compassion, not pressure
    • You can't represent someone you don't spend time with
    • Authority without attitude: bold means steady, not loud
  2. 2

    Matthew 10:7–15

    Keep it simple

    • The message is simple, so don't complicate it
    • Power without performance: we pray, we don't put on a show
    • Travel light, and don't lean on notes more than the Spirit
    • Stop chasing hard ground and look for the people who are open

Practice: explain the gospel in five minutes, then two, then sixty seconds, then one sentence.

  3. 3

    Matthew 10:16–23

    Sheep among wolves

    • Rejection is normal, so don't let it bruise you
    • Stay soft in heart and sharp in awareness
    • Wise, but not weird: no tricks, no pressure
    • When it gets uncomfortable, the Spirit gives the words

Practice: pair up, share your one or two-minute testimony, then come back and share what you heard.

  4. 4

    Matthew 10:26–42

    You are sent

    • Fear: let's talk about it properly
    • Loyalty, and what it might cost
    • Stop counting and start obeying: you're responsible for the sowing, not the harvest
    • Keep it normal: five tools for everyday life
Session 4

Five everyday tools

  • Ask, don't attackAsk permission before you share. Permission lowers walls.
  • Know your storyBefore Christ, how you met Him, what changed. Two minutes, honest and real.
  • Listen properlyMost people have never really been heard. Listening builds trust.
  • Look for windowsGrief, failure and change open people up. Don't exploit pain, but don't ignore it.
  • Just be consistentAt work, at the gym, with family. Faithfulness and good timing.

“Evangelism isn't about building a platform. It's about carrying a Person.”

“You don't switch it on at church and switch it off at Tesco.”

“Leave the maths to heaven. Just obey.”
